Meet Crest Concreting

Most mornings start with mist sitting in the paddocks down off Malanda Falls Road - the kind of quiet that doesn't happen in town. We've poured slabs with that mist still hanging around the formwork at 7am, and finished driveways with the late sun turning the dairy country gold.

The Tablelands isn't one place - it's a dozen. Yungaburra's cool old fig country feels nothing like the dry, open ground out past Walkamin and Mareeba. The Curtain Fig down the road from a job we did last winter is older than every house on this island; you don't pour concrete in country like that without thinking about how long it'll last.

We've crawled up the Gillies Range with a ute full of tools more times than we can count - usually because someone in Gordonvale or Cairns wanted a concreter who actually knows what tropical highland soil does in February. We do, because we live in it.
